Discount mulberry outlets Outlet Cannabidiol company opens two locations in Omaha
rtREPORTING LIVE, ALEXANDRA STONE,
The two Omaha locations are at 96th and L Streets, and 24th and P Streets.
Donald Anderson owns the location at 24th and P. He said CBD offered him pain relief after a motorcycle accident, and he believes the products can help others too.
“It’s just amazing some of the things you see,” Anderson said, “People with seizures stop shaking. People with Parkinson’s stop shaking.”
Cannabidiol is the same extract found in marijuana plants, but the products sold at CBD American Shaman get their cannabidiol from the hemp plant.
Company CEO Vince Sanders said it’s all legal, and they follow federal guidelines for hemp products.
“We make everything from industrial hemp,” Sanders said, “So the THC levels have to always be under .3 percent. Our products are greatly under that.”
THC is the component in cannabis that causes a psychological effect. Sanders is clear, there are only trace amounts of THC in their products. They’re not meant to get you high.
Sanders started the company after his uncle was diagnosed with terminal cancer. He was looking for alternative treatments.
“I really believe this stuff. This is magic. This could save people’s lives,” Sanders said.
Nebraska state senators considered legalizing the use of cannabis for medicinal purposes in 2017, but the effort failed. The unicameral previously passed a bill allowing the University of Nebraska Medical Center to study CBD.
